Rawson Saunders School in Austin, Texas, seeks a gifted, growth-oriented Middle School Language Arts teacher for our 6th grade students. Creativity, enthusiasm, curiosity, flexibility, a multi-sensory instructional approach, a passion for excellence in middle school language arts education, and, above all, a strong desire to support students with dyslexia, are essential attributes.  The position involves:

• Designing and delivering masterfully planned, engaging language arts lessons daily.
• Understanding and supporting the learning needs of each student.
• Creating and maintaining a nurturing yet challenging classroom environment.
• Communicating thoughtfully and consistently with students and their parents.
• Practicing professionalism through collaborative work, reflection, inquiry, and continuous improvement.

3-5 years of experience is desired. Bachelor's degree required.  Master's degree preferred. Special Education experience desired.
