Proctor Academy seeks a highly collaborative and experienced learning specialist passionate about helping students build their academic skills, self-awareness, and ability to self-advocate. The successful candidate will have a background in teaching high school students with learning differences and executive functioning challenges; content knowledge in reading, writing, math, and study skills; strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to create a positive, productive learning climate. Experience with reading neuropsychological evaluations to develop appropriate accommodation plans and Learning Skills program goals is also essential.
Applicants must also be able to manage workflow to meet deadlines promptly and thoroughly, have a commitment to excellence, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Patience, creativity, flexibility, and the ability to successfully address students' diverse, multiple learning needs within a tutorial environment are also required.
