Dates: June 22nd to July 29th (no classes July 2nd or 3rd) Hours: Monday to Friday,8:30am to 12:00pm
Saddle River Day School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics teacher to lead a class in our 2026 Summer Academy. This position involves teaching a mix of Middle and Upper School students.
Key responsibilities:
Teach an accelerated summer class in either Algebra II, Precalculus, or Calculus (all courses taught at both the CP and Honors levels)
Administer a final examination to students to ensure their successful completion of the material
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
Have experience teaching mathematics courses (or other relevant experience)
Effectively keep pace with an accelerated schedule
Demonstrate a passion for teaching, fostering student growth, and engaging students in problem-solving and mathematical thinking
Manage the classroom effectively, establish a positive learning environment, and maintain accurate records of student progress
Effectively differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of learning styles
Communicate effectively with families to support student success
Be organized, empathetic, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment
Compensation:
Salary: $5,000 to $7,500 for full credit advancement courses (final compensation will be determined based on course enrollment)
