Friends Select School is seeking a number of part-time After School Program (ASP) teachers to care for and supervise those students in our After School Program during the 2025-26 school year. The program's focus is on Pre-K-5th grade and is organized in a classroom-based manner. Ideal candidates will be reliable, flexible, and will bring their own unique interests into those classrooms with engaging, age appropriate activities. Whether it is knitting, theater, painting, music/film production, gaming, or coding we are looking for creative individuals to staff our program. Individuals with a current lifeguard certification are also needed. This is a part time position with hours from 2:30-6 PM Monday through Friday, as well as full day coverage during school vacations/closings. There is also the opportunity for additional hours through substitute teaching. All ASP teachers will be required to attend an orientation during mid-August.
Duties and Responsibilities: ? Provide consistent leadership and care to one's assigned 'homeroom' ? Create innovative, engaging and age appropriate activities for the students ? Adhere to set schedule and program guidelines ? Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard that supports the Friends Select mission and community guidelines ? Follow the school's health and safety guidelines ? Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills: ? Experience working directly with school age children ? Classroom management experience ? Comfort working on Zoom and Google Workspace platforms
Required Trainings and Certifications: ? Successful completion of state requirements, including but not limited to the following clearances: PA State Criminal Background Check, FBI Fingerprint Check and PA Child Abuse Clearance ? Willingness to complete various online trainings, as required by the school
