Lakehill Preparatory School seeks a warm, engaging, and highly dependable full-time long-term maternity substitute teacher to serve as our 1st Grade teacher from March 23 through May 19, 2026. We are looking for someone who can step smoothly into an established classroom community, maintain strong routines, and continue the joyful, structured learning environment that defines Lower School at Lakehill.

Because first grade is a pivotal year for building strong foundations, the ideal candidate will bring a genuine passion for early literacy and reading development and be comfortable continuing instruction using our enVision math program. Candidates should be able to support students’ academic growth while nurturing their confidence, independence, and love of learning.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree
  
• Prior experience working with children, preferably as a classroom teacher in early elementary grades
  
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent follow-through
  
• A genuine enthusiasm for working with young learners, a positive and welcoming presence, and flexibility
  
• A commitment to creating a nurturing, structured classroom where students feel supported and engaged
