The New School seeks a dedicated Middle School Science Teacher (Grades 6-8) to join our dynamic learning community. Guided by our commitment to whole-person education, we aim to inspire a love of learning while nurturing students’ social, emotional, and intellectual growth.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate math instruction aligned with independent school best practices.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth as a grade-level advisor.
Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining clear communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school community activities.
Maintain accurate records and uphold safety and security standards.
Strong understanding of pedagogy and best practices in education.
Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons using diverse methods.
Effective classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and technology integration skills.
The New School is a coeducational, independent school with 300 students from toddler age
through grade twelve. The School’s mission is to empower each student through a
