Lake Highland's Lower School seeks a Teacher Assistant to assist in the preparation and execution of daily classroom functions and the performance of tasks to support assigned teacher(s) in providing a safe learning environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing or assisting in the preparation of instructional materials; assisting with traffic, carpool, playground, and cafeteria supervision duties; supporting classroom management; assisting with classroom instruction, as led by the classroom teacher, in whole group, small group, and 1:1 settings; and coordinating closely with assigned classroom teacher(s) to determine daily tasks, among other tasks.
This is a full-time, fully benefitted, non-exempt, 10-month position. We encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, university, or international equivalent in related field required.
Previous related experience preferred.
