We reasonably expect to compensate for this position between $48,163 and $57,049. The pay for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, and training.

Northfield Mount Hermon School, an independent co-educational boarding school in Western Massachusetts, seeks an energetic individual to work with a team of college counselors under the supervision of the office director to advise, guide, and support students and families as they begin and find their way to the end of the college search process, and for a limited number of students, gap year options. The position is also responsible for teaching a college counseling course, following the guidelines provided by the office. This position begins in August, the start of the 2026-2027 academic year.
Other responsibilities include student advising, resident dormitory supervision, and coaching or equivalents. Candidates are encouraged to include in their application experiences that may support our athletic and student life programs.
The successful applicant will have a bachelor’s degree or higher and 2- 3 years of experience as an admissions officer, independent counselor, or school/college counselor. Experience with Naviance and knowledge of Google Suites preferred. Prior experience working with secondary school students is also preferred.
Candidates must be familiar with boarding school life and have an interest in making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents. They will demonstrate experience in equity and inclusion work that promotes a diverse community environment and a clear understanding of anti-bias education.
