The American School of Bombay (ASB) seeks a creative and collaborative Elementary School Art Teacher to join its vibrant learning community. The teacher will design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based visual arts experiences aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and National Art Education Association (NAEA) standards. Students will explore a broad range of media and artistic traditions, with a strong emphasis on India’s rich visual, craft, and folk art heritage. The role supports the development of visual literacy, cultural understanding, creativity, and self-expression within a safe, inclusive environment that values student voice, choice, and interdisciplinary learning.

Who We’re Looking For? The candidate will bring:  

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education and a valid teaching certification from a nationally recognized institution.
• A minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of global and Indian art traditions, including folk and craft practices.
• A strong understanding of art education as part of whole-child development, supporting creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration.
