The Nurse’s Office Administrative Assistant is a full-time, year round, 40 hours per week position. The role covers both the academic year and summer camp. Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
Qualifications
Education: Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with parents, staff, and students via email, phone, and in person.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact with others in a friendly, approachable, and positive manner. Demonstrates respect and compassion with children and adults. Ability to engage with families in a culturally responsive manner.
Organizational Skills: High attention to detail, strong time-management, organizational and multitasking abilities, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Google Suite
Ability to train in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
Ability to train in Axiom/Veracross/Camp Brain
Certifications: First Aid and BLS certification (training provided by Packer).
Professional Requirements:. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of medical and personal information and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Communication & Front Office Support
Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member.
Respond promptly to parent email inquiries as directed by the nursing staff.
Maintaining Student & Employee Health Records
Assist in the management of student and employee health forms and immunizations. Maintaining electronic medical records system (Magnus database); including collecting, entering, updating, and tracking expired or missing documents.
Office Operations
Keep an inventory of office supplies and order new materials as needed.
Help maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment by disinfecting medical equipment, beds, furniture, and other areas as needed.
Clinical Support
Provide first aid assistance under the direction and supervision of the nursing staff.
