The Teaching Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the lead teacher and nurturing Antilles School’s youngest learners in the Early Learning Center and Lower School. This role may be assigned to a Toddler, Pre-K, or Kindergarten classroom based on school needs.
The assistant helps to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate, play-based environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively. This role involves active participation in classroom routines, transitions, and caregiving responsibilities, as well as collaboration with colleagues and families to promote a warm, inclusive community.

Qualifications & Skills:
High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
Experience working with young children in a school or childcare setting preferred, with an understanding of or interest in play-based learning approaches
CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Strong understanding of early childhood development and learning frameworks
Commitment to inclusive classroom practices and cultural competence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools to support instruction
Warm, child-centered approach with strong interpersonal skills and a growth mindset
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic, diverse school environment
