Manager of the Annual Fund
The Manager of the Annual Fund leads the strategy, execution, and growth of an annual giving program to secure operating support from all constituencies. The Manager reports to the Assistant Head for Institutional Advancement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage the annual giving program, including goals for dollars raised and participation by constituent groups.
Create and execute annual fund strategy, messaging, and campaign calendar.
Oversee and utilize all fundraising channels, including direct mail, digital campaigns, and personal solicitations.
Partner with the Alumni Office to strengthen alumni giving and reunion initiatives.
Manage a portfolio of prospects for personal solicitation.
Conduct donor research to support cultivation and stewardship efforts.
Performance Tracking & Program Growth
Establish and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and ROI.
Analyze results and refine strategies to improve outcomes and expand initiatives.
Ultimately, recruit, train, and support volunteers in various constituent groups.
Collaboration & Communications
Partner with the Director of Communications to develop compelling print and digital materials supporting annual fund efforts.
Ensure consistent and meaningful donor stewardship throughout the year.
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in events and meetings, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
1-2 years of experience in development, annual giving, or alumni relations, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
Ability to work with diverse constituencies and travel as needed.
Knowledge of fundraising databases
