Madison Country Day School, a PreK-12 International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, is seeking a creative educator for the 2025-26 school year to serve as a full-time Humanities teacher for grade 6. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching sixth-grade students and dedicated to creating engaging, imaginative learning experiences that support their academic and personal growth within our dynamic middle school, which serves grades 5–8. To be considered, candidates must demonstrate an ability to connect academic skills to real-world applications, foster both creative and critical thinking, and support the development of strong foundational reading and writing competencies. This educator will also promote collaborative learning, encourage respect for diverse perspectives, and cultivate a sense of responsibility in local and global contexts.
Applicants should bring a passion for teaching English and History, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with students at the unique developmental stage of sixth grade. Ideal candidates will be well-versed in social-emotional learning (SEL) and committed to creating a safe, structured, supportive classroom environment where students can thrive. We seek an inquisitive and creative educator who leads with optimism, embraces flexibility, and values collaboration.
