The Archer School for Girls is seeking a full-time middle school English teacher beginning in August 2026. Archer is an educational community that supports and challenges young women to discover their passions and realize their true potential. Serving girls in grades 6-12, Archer’s ambitious program engages girls in a purposeful, inquiry-driven curriculum that fosters critical thinking and life-long intellectual curiosity.
We are currently seeking an experienced English teacher with:
an educational background and at least three years of teaching experience
strong pedagogical skills
deep content knowledge
facility with educational technology
commitment to ongoing professional development
passion for teaching and learning
Responsibilities include teaching 4-5 middle school classes, serving as a mentor, and participating in co-curricular school activities like our award-winning literary magazine, literature conference, experiential trips, clubs, and committees.
A bachelor’s degree in English, Literature or a related field is required; a master’s degree and/or teaching credential is preferred. Ideal candidates have at least three years of experience teaching in a student-centered classroom with a successful track record of collaboration and curricular design experience.
