Position Overview
Concord Hill School seeks a Long-Term Substitute Classroom Teacher to support our second grade classroom from May 1 to June 6, 2026. This full-time, temporary role ensures continuity of instruction and classroom routines while a faculty member is on extended leave.
The Long-Term Substitute will work within an established co-teaching model, implementing existing curriculum and collaborating with colleagues to maintain a stable, supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Implement established lesson plans and curriculum
Support consistent classroom routines and expectations
Collaborate with co-teachers and grade-level colleagues
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom community
Communicate professionally with faculty and administrators
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Education or related field preferred)
Experience teaching early childhood or elementary students
Comfort working in a co-teaching environment
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to inclusive, relationship-based teaching
Position Details
Start Date: May 2026
Compensation: Competitive daily rate ($180-$200/day), commensurate with experience
