The HWIS New York Campus, seeks a full-time certified early childhood and elementary classroom teacher to cover Grade 1 & 2 maternity leave position. This teacher reports to the Principal. Position starts end of January, 2026 till Mid June 2026.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute curriculum to teach all English - Language Arts, math, science, and social studies
• Understand early childhood behavior and management
• Ability to collaborate, plan and team-teach with target language immersion teachers
• Demonstrate best teaching practices
• Ability to recognize LD and G&T students and refer for evaluation
• Develop materials, methods, environment and assessment to ensure attainment of academic goals
• Be accountable to the administration for managing students’ safety, behavior and academic success
