The Agnes Irwin School is seeking a Digital Content Strategist & Webmaster to join it's Marketing and Communication team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, this position's primary responsibility is to manage and maintain the School's website as the prominent and dominant marketing tool for the institution.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Day-to-day management of School's institutional-level social media presence including scheduling, creating content, tracking metrics, and assisting with dissemination of public and community information
- Manage website content and work with stakeholders to proactivity solicit updates based on school calendar and seasons
- Analyze web traffic and performance including SEO and paid campaign performance, objectives, and digital strategies
- Partner with web host provider, Finalsite, on the following:
- Execute regular follow-up and assessment of site performance
- Plan future modifications and keep up with new technologies and software
- Repair/replace broken links and fix reported bugs
- Maintain pages to optimize loading speed
- Identify ways to improve functionality and usability
- Assist with revisions and updates to the Employee and Student Handbooks as necessary
Successful candidates will possess:
- Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated expertise in the use of website content management systems; familiarity with Finalsite is preferred; knowledge of website best practices and ability to ensure content is aligned including keywords, meta descriptions, tagging, and back-end functionality
- Expertise in SEO, Google Adwords, paid search campaigns, and competitive intelligence tools
- Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout, Later) and knowledge of video editing software and creative design platforms (Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshelter)
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail, ability to meet multiple deadlines, and take initiative
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
