Professional Opportunity: Middle School Science & Math Teacher (1.0 FTE)
Saint George’s School is an independent K-12 school, serving a population of approximately 340 students from the greater Spokane area. Saint George’s School seeks a Middle School Science and Math teacher for the 2024-25 school year. The classes to be taught will include Life Science, 6th Grade Math and/or Pre-Algebra, plus one class TBD. Successful candidates will: demonstrate expertise in their disciplines, love working with adolescents and their parents, have a strong understanding of pedagogy, a desire to collaborate closely with colleagues, an interest in encouraging cross-curricular connections, and an openness toward outdoor experiences with students. Responsibilities:
- Teach students in grade 6
- Prepare and facilitate 4 classes per day in science and math subject areas
- Develop mentoring relationships with students
- Provide a class experience that matches the school culture of developing each student’s talents
- Provide feedback to students and families in a timely manner
- Attend weekly and monthly staff meetings
- Academic advising of students with daily study hall/tutorial
- Math club advisor
- Other related duties as assigned

Salary: Salary range between $45,580 and $74,343 depending on experience.

Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Education from an accredited college
Qualifications preferred:
- 3 years of experience
- Valid Teaching Certificate preferred
- Master’s degree in Science or Education from an accredited college
- Technical proficiency with an interest in utilizing, where appropriate, 1:1 school provided student laptops (research, organization, Microsoft suite, or other programs to further and support student learning)
