Posting your resume online can be a great way to be seen by potential employers with which you’re not yet familiar, but it can also pose some risks. If you are contacted by a hiring manager, the person should immediately note what company he or she works for and what job is available. Make certain that the individual’s contact information matches the organization. Never share personal information, such as your social security number or bank account information, with a potential employer unless you are confident the company and the job offer are legitimate.
