• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education or related field required
• State teaching certification preferred
• 3+ years of teaching experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of instrumental pedagogy for beginning/intermediate strings students (cello, viola, and violin).
• Ability to teach fundamental technique, music literacy, and ensemble skills in a developmentally appropriate way.
• Skill in arranging and selecting repertoire suitable for young musicians.
• Conducting ability appropriate for elementary-level ensembles.
• Proficient in multiple string instruments to demonstrate and assist students individually.
• Comfort with conducting and directing student performances

Technological Proficiency

• Comfortable using music education technology (e.g., MakeMusic Cloud, Noteflight, Flipgrid, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of sound reinforcement and recording tools for student performances.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and digital communication tools (e.g., Canvas, Seesaw)
