We are currently accepting applications for a ten-month Middle and Upper School History & Social Sciences Teacher, to begin August 2026. Competitive salary and full benefits available. Full time preferred; part-time considered.
Our Middle and Upper School teachers must be able to teach a wide range of courses within their content-area of expertise to students in grades 7-12. The ideal candidate is a curious, enthusiastic leader who models lifelong learning, is comfortable teaching multiple levels of history and social sciences (including, but not limited to, U.S. History, World History, Human Geography, Civics, Sociology, Psychology, and/or Business) and has a strong interest in a project-based interdisciplinary curriculum.
Course offerings may include United States Government, Comparative Religions, Gender Studies, Ecology & the Humanities, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Business and Personal Finance, Economics, Design Thinking & Entrepreneurship, AP Psychology, Sociology. The focus in all courses includes reading, writing, critical thinking, discussion, depth of inquiry, and culturally responsive teaching.
