Lawrence School, a leader in learning difference education serving students accredited to serve students grades K-12 across two campuses in Northeast Ohio, seeks a strategic and mission-driven Head of School to lead its next phase of growth and impact. The Head will focus on strengthening enrollment and market position, aligning and integrating the school’s program across campuses, and advancing innovation in support of students with learning differences. In addition, the Head will play a key role in elevating the school’s visibility and building a sustainable culture of philanthropy, while serving as a visible ambassador and advocate for the school and its mission.
The successful candidate will bring strong leadership and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build trust and connection across a diverse community. Experience leading through change, engaging external stakeholders, and supporting high-quality teaching and learning environments will be important. Prior experience in learning difference education is valued, though not required, provided the candidate demonstrates a deep commitment to the mission and a willingness to learn and engage fully in the school’s work.

A master's degree and several years of experience as a school leader are required. Experience working at schools with students with learning differences is highly desirable.
Lawrence School is an independent, co-educational day school serving students with language-based learning differences and challenges focusing attention. With our small classes, unique curricula and hands-on learning opportunities, we provide students from 70 communities and 10 counties throughout Northeast Ohio with the tools and strategies they need to become successful learners. Lawrence School has two campus locations. The Lower School campus in Broadview Heights serves students in grades K-6, while the Upper School campus in Sagamore Hills serves students in grades 7-12. Both locations are central to the greater Cleveland and Akron areas.
