Mason Preparatory is an independent Pre K-8th school dedicated to educating the whole child through strong relationships, academic excellence, and an engaging, student-centered learning environment. We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood educator to join our collaborative and supportive faculty team.
Position Details:
Title: Early Childhood Teacher
Classification: Exempt (Salary)
Reports to: Head of School
Schedule: Schedule: Full-Time; 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for school events.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
- State teacher certification required
- Proficient knowledge of curriculum and effective instructional practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Head of School, Early Childhood Teachers will:
- Provide high-quality classroom instruction that meets or exceeds South Carolina state standards while maintaining a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Plan and deliver creative, multi-sensory lessons (kinesthetic, tactile, auditory, and visual).
- Maintain clear and professional communication with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
- Implement discipline policies with fairness and consistency.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Actively participate in school life, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Comply with all Mason Preparatory School policies and procedures as outlined in faculty, student, and employee handbooks.
