The Grayson School is seeking an Advancement Associate to support the work of the Advancement Office. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, personable, and eager to contribute to a growing school community. The Advancement Associate will work directly with the Head of Advancement and play a key role in advancing fundraising efforts, events, and community engagement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide day-to-day support to the Head of Advancement across all initiatives
Assist with planning and execution of events, including the GROW Gala and other community and donor events
Communicate with families, donors, and community members in a professional and warm manner with tact and discretion
Maintain accurate and up-to-date constituent records in Veracross
Enter and process gifts, track donations, and support basic reporting needs
Draft and send donor acknowledgments, including thank-you notes and letters
Support outreach efforts, including emails, invitations, and follow-ups
Assist with annual fund and other fundraising efforts through coordination and organization
Support logistics for meetings, events, and advancement projects
Pitch in where needed—this is a role for someone flexible and ready to help across all areas
YOU MUST BE:
A strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
Comfortable interacting with a wide range of people, including families, donors, faculty, and trustees
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Able to manage multiple tasks and follow through on deadlines
Positive, professional, and dependable
A team player who is also comfortable taking direction and executing independently
Social, approachable, and confident representing the school in a public-facing role
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree (or relevant experience)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Comfort with data entry, database management, and attention to detail
Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities
Comfort with technology and willingness to learn systems like Veracross
Experience in events, communications, customer service, or nonprofit work
Interest in education or school communities
Experience with gifted learners
