Come be a part of the teaching team at New Way Academy for the 2025-2026 school year! We are seeking a highly qualified STEM teacher to join our junior high team. We are looking for educators who will support the school’s mission to educate children with learning differences to fulfill their potential. New Way Academy is an independent, K-12 day school in Phoenix, Arizona. Responsibilities Include:
Develop/adapt curriculum for our Junior High or Junior High STEM classes of up to 12 students, specialized to student needs
Differentiate instruction to remediate what students need to learn and push them to rigorous content understanding
Maintain and utilize accurate and up-to-date data regarding student achievement
Empower students through high expectations, consistent routines, and strategies for success
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with parents, students and colleagues
Work collaboratively with the level teams
Our STEM teacher will collaborate with colleagues to insure integration of STEM content in their classes
Contribute to the drafting of each student’s quarterly report outlining their academic and social progress

Previous teaching experience, preferably with students that have learning differences
Certificate, Education and License Requirements:
Holds valid and up-to-date teaching certificate in Arizona
Bachelor’s degree or higher with a preferred emphasis on special education
Previous teaching experience preferably at the junior high level
Compensation:
Based on experience in the range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year
