St. Martin’s Episcopal School is currently looking for a 4th grade maternity leave teacher starting in February 2026. Qualified candidates will possess competency in teaching the core academic subject areas of math, reading, and social studies, in addition to strong classroom management skills. St. Martin’s collaborative culture is focused on guiding our students through our advanced curriculum. The successful candidate must have prior teaching experience and must hold at least a Bachelor's degree. A master’s degree in education is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Implement age-appropriate lessons in Math, Language Arts, and Social Studies.
Present curriculum and material in an engaging manner.
Work closely with the Grade Level team to make sure instructional goals are met.
Collaborate with co-curricular teachers to enhance cross-curricular projects across the grade level.
Set clear expectations for students.
Communicate regularly and appropriately with the students, parents, and division head about student academic and social progress.
Participate in weekly chapel services by division, supervisory duties such as recess and carpool, and other scheduled activities outside the classroom.
Attend grade level, department, division, and faculty meetings as needed.
Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports all students and their families.
Minimum Requirements
A bachelor’s degree
At least two years of teaching experience
A passion for teaching children
A commitment to continuous improvement
