An immediate 5% retirement contribution from the Academy (The 5% is based off of the monthly gross income) with no requirement for employee contribution.

Required Education:

This position is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, rigorous instruction that develops students’ research, analytical, collaborative, and communication skills within the AP Capstone framework. The teacher will foster a learning environment that promotes critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and academic rigor in a diverse, global learning community. The teaching line will include AP Seminar, AP Research, and a dual-credit course: AP Seminar/Honors English II.
Instructional Responsibilities:
Teach AP Seminar and AP Research in alignment with College Board frameworks, assessment requirements, and performance tasks.
Teach a combined AP Seminar/Honors English II course, thoughtfully integrating research, rhetoric, literary analysis, and composition with intentional alignment to both AP Seminar outcomes and Honors English II standards, ensuring that both credit areas are clearly and intentionally addressed.
Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons that emphasize research skills, argumentation, synthesis of sources, academic writing, and oral presentation.
Guide students through long-term research projects, including topic development, research methodology, academic integrity, citation practices, and revision processes.
Provide timely, meaningful feedback that supports student growth in writing, thinking, and presentation skills.
Teaching and Learning Environment:
Actively seek to know students’ strengths and areas for growth, providing timely feedback and academic support.
Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, colleagues, and administrators, responding promptly and thoughtfully to questions or concerns.
Participate fully in faculty meetings, professional development, advisory responsibilities, and school events.
Contribute to a collaborative and collegial faculty culture that values continuous improvement and shared leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Humanities, or a related field.
