We invite you to join our team in making this mission a reality for our students as a full-time faculty member teaching Middle School History for the 2026-2027 school year.
Applicants should be flexible in their ability to teach five sections of Middle School History, including a combination of sixth, seventh, and/or eighth grade classes. The 6th grade curriculum focuses on civics, including questions of community, government, and founding American documents. The 7th grade curriculum covers Pacific Northwest history, including indigenous communities, immigration, and how our local area was impacted by World War II. Our 8th grade course builds social studies skills as students learn about human geography, including broader lenses of politics, economics, geography, and culture, and how those overlap and inform their historical understanding. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience. Undergraduate degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
