St. Christopher’s School, founded in 1911, is a college preparatory school for boys (junior kindergarten through 12th grade) located in Richmond, Virginia. The School’s mission is to prepare a talented and diverse group of boys for college and for life in an ever-changing world.
St. Christopher’s currently enrolls 1001 boys in JK-12 from 57 zip codes in the Richmond metropolitan region. Lower School (JK-5) has 423 boys, Middle School (6-8) has 242 and Upper School (9-12) enrolls 336. The 162 full- and part-time members of the faculty have an average tenure of 12.7 years and 61 percent have advanced degrees, including 6 with doctorates. The average class size is 16.
Coordination with St. Catherine’s School for girls offers many opportunities for interaction at all levels including coed classes in the upper school. Virtually 100 percent of St. Christopher’s graduates attend four-year colleges and universities, often at some of the nation’s most prestigious institutions.
