The Admissions Department plays a vital role in the Lycée's effort to attract, enroll, and retain a diverse and dynamic student population who will benefit from the school's unique culture and programmatic offerings and contribute to the community. Lycée Français de New York seeks a full-time (12-month) Admissions and Enrollment Coordinator to join an experienced team of admissions professionals. With demonstrated success, this role is designed as a pathway to the Assistant Director of Admissions position.
The Admissions and Enrollment Coordinator is an integral member of the Admission Office team and plays a key role in creating welcoming, informative experiences for prospective families. The Admission Office welcomes hundreds of families annually during the Admission season and serves as the first and most extensive point of contact for many people's experience with the Lycée.
The Coordinator reports to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment and works closely with the Associate Directors of Admissions and the Admissions Operations Manager. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, cultural competence, and a deep understanding of the French education system to effectively guide families through the admissions process. The ideal start date would be August 17, 2026.

This position requires additional work hours as needed for school events and/or school-sponsored activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Tour Leadership and Family Engagement
Lead in-person tours of the school during the day for prospective families
Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for the school's bilingual program and French educational approach
Respond to family inquiries with warmth, accuracy, and cultural sensitivity
Guide prospective students and families through the admissions process
Program Coordination
Coordinate the Secondary Student Ambassador Program, including recruitment, training, and scheduling of student ambassadors
Coordinate the "Better Together" parent-to-parent connections program, facilitating connections between current and prospective families
Assist with program logistics and communications throughout the admissions cycle
Additional on-campus programs for prospective students and families
Assist with event logistics, including registration, communications, materials, and follow-up
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution
Assist with virtual and in-person Y6-12 admissions events as needed
Y6-12 Admissions Process Support
Assist the Director of Admissions and Enrollment in developing and refining the Y6-12 admission process for new students and parents.
Support the implementation of Middle and High School admission and recruitment strategies.
Assist with organizing Secondary Student Evaluation Day
Support application review and data management as needed
Administrative and Operational Support
Update the admissions application database and event calendars as needed
Provide coverage for absent Admissions team members
Maintain accurate records and provide admissions data reports as requested
Assist with other duties and projects as assigned
Community Building and Retention
Assist with retention initiatives with current students and parents
Help cultivate relationships with feeder schools and community-based organizations
Actively participate in the student community by supporting the Student Life program (e.g., serving as a club advisor, chaperoning school trips, supporting events of other departments)
Professional Collaboration and Growth
Work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments to foster a positive working and educational environment
Attend and participate in required faculty and staff meetings and department meetings
Participate fully in individual reviews and evaluations; be open to feedback and set goals with a supervisor
Pursue professional development opportunities; display willingness and ability to grow, learn, and practice self-reflection
Work in close collaboration with the pedagogical team to stay current with curriculum and program changes within each academic division
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
Bachelor's degree required
Fully bilingual in French and English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages
At least 3 -5 years of work experience
Deep understanding of and familiarity with the French education system
Strong organizational and follow-through skills; ability to independently establish and manage multiple and often competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to consistently provide a high level of customer service and responsiveness to students and parents while demonstrating warmth, professionalism, and accuracy
Outstanding presentation and public speaking skills for leading tours and representing the school at events
Proficiency in technology and cloud-based systems, including Google Workspace
Demonstrated cultural competence and commitment to fostering an inclusive community
High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information
Ability to be a collaborative team player who also works well independently, takes initiative, embraces feedback, and is adaptable and solution-oriented
Preferred:
Experience in student services, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting
Experience working with Middle and Upper School-aged students
Experience with program coordination or event planning
Commitment to an educational vision that aligns with the Lycée's core principles
Experience with, or interest in, working with international students and families
Physical Demands
Physical demands include dexterity with office machines and supply operations, including, but not limited to, writing, typing, and using electronic devices, computers, phones, calculators, copy machines, and printers. Stooping, bending, traveling to/from locations on campus, ascending/descending stairs, reaching, and sitting or standing for extended periods are common.
Other Requirements
Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Willingness and availability to work evenings and weekends as needed, particularly during peak admissions and enrollment periods
The ability to travel domestically and conduct physical tours of the campus is required
