Founded in 1950, Greenhill School is an independent, coeducational day school with more than 1,450 students in grades pre-kindergarten-12. The school is located on a 78-acre campus approximately 12 miles north of downtown Dallas.

SUMMARY
The Director of Equity and Inclusion serves as a member of the School’s senior leadership team and plays a key role in supporting Greenhill’s mission by fostering a community where all individuals feel valued, respected, and a deep sense of belonging.
The Director maintains a visible and engaged presence across the School, building relationships with students, employees, families, alumni, trustees, and the broader community. In partnership with school leadership, this role helps guide institutional priorities, supports community-wide initiatives, and leads efforts that strengthen an inclusive and connected school environment aligned with Greenhill’s core values of Excellence, Integrity, Compassion, and Courage.
This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position. Some evening and weekend work is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Leadership and Engagement
Lead initiatives that support a culture of respect, connection, and belonging
Maintain a strong and visible presence throughout the School, building trusting relationships across the community
Partner with the Board of Trustees’ designee to support trustee education and engagement
Education, Programming, and Support
Provide education and support for students, employees, and families through programming, workshops, and community engagement opportunities
Collaborate with the Director of Academics and divisional and departmental leaders on curriculum development and inclusive teaching practices
Partner with Admission to support efforts that attract, welcome, and retain a broad range of students
Support employee recruitment, retention, and onboarding practices that strengthen community and connection
Collaboration and Communication
Partner with leadership across divisions and departments to align priorities with the School’s mission and strategic direction
Facilitate dialogue, support constructive conversations, and promote shared understanding across the community
Serve as a resource to faculty and staff on community engagement, classroom practices, and student development
Faculty Recruitment and Hiring
Participate in candidate interviews and provide perspective on community and institutional fit
Contribute to hiring decisions in collaboration with the Head of School and Director of Academics
Support onboarding of new employees to ensure a strong and connected start at Greenhill
Minimum of five years of leadership experience in an educational setting
Experience developing and leading programs, initiatives, or community-focused work
Experience working with students in a PreK–12 environment preferred
Background in facilitation, adult learning, or program development strongly preferred
