Founded in 1950, Greenhill School is an independent, coeducational day school with more than 1,400 students in grades pre-kindergarten-12. The school is located on a 78-acre campus approximately 12 miles north of downtown Dallas.

SUMMARY
The Upper School Dean of Students plays a central role in fostering a strong and supportive student community, with primary responsibility for student conduct, well-being, and the overall culture of the Upper School. The Dean works closely with students, families, and faculty to guide student growth and uphold community expectations, while collaborating with the Dean of Student Life to support a cohesive and engaging student experience.
This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position. Evening and weekend work is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach the equivalent of one yearlong course.
Recommend and participate in the development of Upper School policies and procedures.
Oversee and implement all disciplinary matters, maintain accurate student records, and timely communication with relevant constituencies.
Coordinate Upper School attendance policies in collaboration with the Upper School Attendance Clerk and grade level teams, including off-campus privileges for 12th-grade students.
Oversee the US Advisory program, including the coordination of grade level deans, advisory curriculum, budgeting, and programming, in collaboration with the Dean of Student Life.
Facilitate the US Student Support Team, maintaining records.
Communicate consistently with Upper School students, including but not limited to calendars, schedules, and updates that impact day-to-day operations for students.
Serve as Ex Officio member and oversee the Honor Council.
Supervise and conduct elections for Student Council and the Arts, Athletics, and Service Boards with assistance from the Dean of Student Life and other faculty sponsors.
Partner with the Dean of Student Life to develop, coordinate, and oversee student safety and conduct protocols for both on-campus and off-campus activities.
Attend monthly meetings with senior parent representatives.
Teaching experience, ideally in independent schools.
Leadership training or previous experience leading a team of educators.

Have visibility in various Upper School locations, interacting with US students.
