We seek a High School English teacher to begin in August 2026. We seek an educator who is passionate about literature and writing, as well as about teenage students, and who wants to build a career in an exciting Progressive educational environment. Candidates with skill and interest in teaching African American studies and literature are especially encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will possess at least a bachelor’s degree in English (master’s in English preferred) and 3+ years of high school teaching experience. An understanding of Independent schools, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, the ability and desire to work collaboratively, and dedication to continuously developing and practicing cultural competence are also essential. Candidates with skill and interest in teaching African American studies and literature are especially encouraged to apply.
