Green Meadow is seeking a thoughtful, collaborative, and intellectually curious High School/Middle School Math Teacher to join our faculty. We welcome applicants who love mathematics, enjoy working closely with students, and value teaching in a mission-driven Waldorf School environment. This position could also include Physics teaching in our high school.
About the School
Green Meadow Waldorf School serves nursery-12th grade in Rockland County, NY 25 miles from NYC. We are one of the oldest and largest Waldorf Schools in the US. We emphasize strong relationships, academic and artistic rigor, and the development of ethical, engaged learners. Our school community is a beautiful 120 acre campus that includes a dairy farm, meadows, forests and streams and is a part of the Threefold Educational Foundation.
Responsibilities
Teach a range of middle school and/or high school math courses, potentially including:
Algebra I & II
Geometry
Precalculus
Calculus (AB/BC)
Statistics
Middle school math
High School Physics courses (Course load based on experience and interest)
Design engaging, concept-driven lessons that support a wide range of learners
Use varied assessment strategies to support student growth
Advise students and contribute to the life of the school community
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and alignment
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
Qualifications
Strong background in mathematics (BA/BS required; advanced degree a plus)
Teaching experience at the middle school/high school level preferred, but not required

Ability to communicate mathematical ideas clearly and creatively
