North Yarmouth Academy (NYA) seeks a full-time Elementary Teacher to teach Grade 4 in our supportive and nurturing Lower School. Our program features small class sizes, engaging and flexible learning environments, and student-centered instruction. We emphasize both academic excellence and social-emotional growth, fostering a strong sense of community among students and faculty.
This is a full-time, school-year position beginning in fall 2026 and includes a comprehensive benefits package, including tuition remission.
We are seeking a teacher who is passionate about working with upper elementary students and eager to contribute to a vibrant Pre-K through postgraduate community. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferably in Elementary Education or a related field) and bring warmth, enthusiasm, and a collaborative spirit to their work. Candidates should have a commitment to meeting the needs of each child and an enthusiasm for designing engaging and dynamic lessons, the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, and demonstrated experience in the classroom. Strong literacy instruction experience is preferred, and independent school experience is a plus.
