About the Role

A St. Stephen’s teacher is responsible for creating a well-managed, engaging classroom environment where students are known, challenged, and supported. This role requires strong grade-level content knowledge, effective instructional planning and delivery, and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate values feedback, contributes positively to a team, and is committed to continuous improvement.

• Plan and deliver engaging instruction responsive to student needs.
• Build a strong classroom culture that supports student growth and independence.
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen lesson design, improve student outcomes, and contribute to a positive, connected faculty community.
• Use assessment to inform instruction, provide feedback, and adjust support or extension as needed.
• Differentiate and support learners to meet a range of learning needs.
• Communicate with families to create strong home-school partnerships.
• Leverage technology to enhance learning and prepare students with future-ready skills.
• Commit to professional growth by engaging in coaching, professional development, and reflective practice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field required, advanced degree preferred
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Comfort using technology for planning, teaching, assessment, and communication
• Commitment to ongoing improvement, feedback, and professional learning
