Linsly seeks a dynamic, full-time German Teacher for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
The essential duties/responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Teach 5 sections of a combination of upper level German courses
Be a productive member of the World Language department by attending meetings, updating course curricula, seeking professional development opportunities, and supporting the goals of the department
Serve as an advisor to a small group of students, overseeing their academic and social growth
Lead or assist in extra-curricular activities such as clubs, debate team, or athletics
Perform other non-teaching duties as assigned by the Head of School
The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in German or related field (an Advanced degree is preferred). He/she will have previous experience in a language classroom, as a teacher or teaching assistant. Most importantly, this person will possess a passion for teaching, and a desire to foster the most effective learning environment for our students. We seek teachers who will strengthen our community by upholding our high academic standards and traditional values, while bringing energy, creativity, and innovative teaching methods to our classrooms.
As a day/boarding school, on-campus faculty housing is a possibility but not a requirement. Additional duties and responsibilities are required for living on campus, but the benefits of being a part of the residential community are also substantial.
