Marvelwood School is seeking a high school Art & Ceramics Teacher for a full-time position starting in August 2026. The successful candidate will join an exceptional team of teachers and work with students in grades 9-12, teaching Studio Art and Ceramics classes.
We seek creative and energetic candidates who will value the opportunity to commit fully to the academic, social, and emotional support and development of teenagers and who possess the necessary technical skills to appropriately and effectively integrate technology, hands-on learning, student collaboration, and online resources into their teaching. Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and preferably at least two years of secondary teaching experience in Art & Ceramics. Most desirable are candidates who will participate eagerly in the broader life of the School by contributing to both extracurricular art opportunities and residential life programming.
Duties of a full-time faculty member include, but are not limited to: teaching 4-5 classes, advising, weekly community service, evening dorm duty, monthly weekend duty, and two seasons of involvement in an after-school activity. Candidates must be able to obtain a passenger endorsement on their driver's license in order to transport students.
Salaries fall within a wide range and are commensurate with experience and versatility.
