The Gunston School is seeking a full-time History teacher, with a special focus on Ancient/World History. Gunston has a deep commitment to the values of academic rigor, nurture, and personalization, and we offer unique programs in global and environmental education. We seek a dynamic candidate to join our welcoming and supportive community. The start-date for this role is August 2026.

Candidates should possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in History or a related field, with advanced degrees preferred. Wide-ranging secondary school teaching experience is preferred, and we are seeking candidates with demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, program leadership, and the integration of instructional technology. All Gunston faculty serve as advisors, and are involved with the school's extracurricular program.  The school is particularly interested in candidates with diverse backgrounds and/or a desire to coach, notably crew and sailing.
