Position Description: Pottersville Campus Lead Status: Seasonal Summer Role Location: Pottersville, NJ Compensation: $18-25/hr | Based on experience Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM | Includes required training week
Position Summary The Pottersville Campus Lead serves as the primary on-site operational point person for all summer programming at the Pottersville campus. This role is responsible for ensuring daily readiness, seamless transitions between activities, and high-level coordination across all campus spaces. Rather than leading a specific rotation, you are the steward of the overall campus experience, ensuring that facility needs, schedule alignments, and safety protocols are executed with precision.
The Candidate Profile We are looking for an Operational Pivot-Point, someone who thrives on the "rhythm of a campus" and can see two steps ahead to prevent logistical bottlenecks. The ideal candidate is an organized, calm, and proactive leader who enjoys the puzzle of campus coordination. You are the "Communication Hub" of the campus; you can walk into a space, identify what is missing (signage, supplies, or staffing), and resolve it before the campers arrive. You are a disciplined problem-solver who can manage multiple priorities, from facility needs to transition supervision, with professional poise and a "safety-first" mindset.
Responsibilities Campus Readiness & Space Stewardship
Daily Readiness Checklist: Execute and oversee the morning "Launch Checklist," ensuring all spaces, directional signage, and supplies are staged and ready for staff and campers.
Facility Coordination: Act as the primary liaison for facilities and maintenance needs at the Pottersville location, ensuring any issues are addressed or escalated immediately.
Supply Management: Monitor and coordinate supply levels across campus, ensuring instructors and counselors have the resources required for their daily programming.
Logistics, Transitions & Supervision
Transition Stewardship: Oversee the "flow" of the campus during high-traffic transition periods, ensuring groups move safely and efficiently between activity zones.
Coverage Coordination: Monitor daily staffing levels to identify supervision gaps; coordinate coverage plans and escalate needs to summer leadership.
Communication & Escalation
Central Communication Hub: Serve as the first point of contact for Pottersville-specific issues, including schedule changes, vendor/renter touchpoints, and on-site inquiries.
Stakeholder Relations: Support on-site visitor or renter touchpoints as assigned, ensuring the Pingry brand of excellence is maintained for all campus users.
Required Qualifications
Campus Coordination Experience: Experience in operations, facility management, or camp leadership.
Organizational Mastery: Exceptional ability to manage complex checklists, schedules, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Calm Problem-Solving: Ability to remain composed and effective during operational breakdowns or last-minute schedule shifts.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate clearly across diverse teams, from facilities staff to senior summer leadership.
