Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a Spanish Teacher to join our World Language Department. This position will be an exempt, full-time, 10-month position and will report directly to the Upper School Head. Experience in upper levels of language education preferred. The ideal candidate will be fluent in their language field and will have a strong academic record in language and literature with an understanding of the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines.
Responsibilities include:
Teach various levels of Spanish within our World Language program in our Upper School and Middle School.
Serve as an advisor in the Student Advisory Program.
Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Bachelor’s Degree in language field required.
Experience working in an independent school setting is preferred.
Recent experience in a Middle and/or Upper School classroom.
Willingness to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, and parents.
Eagerness to embrace the mission and values of Maryvale and our connection to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
Commitment to equity and inclusion and have experience working with a diverse student population.
Commitment to single gender education for young women.
Genuine enthusiasm, personal warmth, high energy level, and team player.
Additional Requirements:

Salary is commensurate with experience and degree earned and ranges from $48,000.00 to $65,000.00 annually. This position is eligible for full-time benefits including personal and sick leave benefits.
