Overview:
The Advancement Services Manager plays a vital role in the Office of Advancement at Maryvale. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Advancement, the Advancement Services Manager is responsible for gift entry and acknowledgements, the production of solicitation mailings, financial reconciliation, and the management and mining of donor screenings. Exceptional attention to detail, advanced proficiency with fundraising databases, and commitment to accuracy, service, and operational excellence are essential for success in this role.
This is an exempt, full-time, 12-month position.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Gift Processing and Donor Acknowledgements
Manage timely and accurate gift processing for endowment, planned giving, annual, and major giving programs by generating acknowledgement letters, tax receipts, pledge reminders, and deposits using Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge.
Prepare solicitation letters and manage acknowledgment process.
Generate deposit reports and complete monthly reconciliations with the Business Office.
Create monthly reports and a weekly gift log for the department.
Responsible for pulling, formatting, and validating data for the Annual Report and end-of-year financial reporting for the auditors.
Support reporting needs for parent and alumnae associations.
Prospect Research
Conduct proactive research to identify new major-gift, planned-giving, and leadership annual giving prospects utilizing DonorSearch.
Generate and interpret pipeline and prospect reports, providing strategic recommendations to inform fundraising strategy.
Prepare comprehensive research profiles, briefing documents, and capacity summaries to support donor meetings and solicitation strategies.
Track and evaluate prospect movement across cultivation stages, identifying gaps and recommending next steps.
Schedule and participate in team prospect strategy meetings, offering data-informed insights to guide cultivation strategies.
Other Duties
Assist with all Advancement events, including, but not limited to, set up and breakdown, which requires some weekend and evening hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
High-level of proficiency in the use of technology: Raiser’s Edge, DonorSearch, Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Proven excellence in organization, prioritization, accuracy, and timely execution.
Demonstrate personal and professional integrity as well as maintain a high-level confidentiality with colleagues and constituents.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and solutions-oriented, with a collaborative and collegial work style.
Commitment to and enthusiasm for Maryvale’s mission, culture, and values, with interest in participating in the life of the school.
Ability to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Additional Requirements:

Salary is commensurate with experience and degree earned and ranges from $45,000.00 to $60,000.00 annually. This position is eligible for full-time benefits, including personal and sick leave benefits.
