Accounting Associate 
(Part-Time, 20 hrs/week)

About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented accounting associate to support day-to-day accounting operations for our three preschool locations and tutoring center. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who enjoys working with technology and wants to learn about financial process design.

Responsibilities
• Classify and reconcile multi-location transactions in one QuickBooks Online file
• Accounts receivable reconciliation and limited collections follow-up
• Process accounts payable and submit invoices to controller for review
• Bank feed matching and reconciliation
• Monthly close support

Required Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in accounting, 2 years of accounting coursework, or 1-2 years bookkeeping experience
• Solid understanding of debits/credits, accrual accounting, and account classification
• Experience with an accounting system (coursework counts)
• Comfortable working in spreadsheets beyond basic entry (filters, pivots, lookups).
• Able to learn and follow documented processes; suggest improvements when patterns emerge.
• Comfortable learning new software and troubleshooting technical processes
• Strong attention to detail with ability to see both micro-level transactions and macro-level patterns

Preferred
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace
• Experience with QBO classes/locations
• Experience with import tools (SaasAnt/Dext/Hubdoc)
• French language skills (our schools are French immersion programs)
