Responsibilities:
Learn about new developments in the education field and practice implementing them
Participate in grade-level meetings and in meetings with individual teachers to understand their practice so The School optimizes learning for all students
Support overnight and/or extended grade-level trips, as applicable, in support of the teaching team, student experience, and the academic and advisory program
Fulfill all duties, responsibilities, and commitments as outlined in the school’s Guidebook and the organization’s code of conduct
Keep careful anecdotal and assessment records to write accurate, comprehensive student reports that reflect student growth and support their future education
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
B.A./B.S. degree or an equivalent degree or educational qualification from an accredited college or university
Stated desire to teach in elementary public or independent schools
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in education or a related field
Knowledge of Spanish
Commitment to continuing education in the discipline and/or other related forms of Professional Development
