North Yarmouth Academy (NYA) seeks an experienced, strategic, and student-centered leader to serve as its next Athletic Director. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and grow a highly regarded athletic program within a thriving independent school community that is expanding its boarding program and strengthening its regional and national presence.
The successful candidate will bring vision, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in athletics, student development, and community engagement.

NYA is a member of the Maine Principals’ Association for many sports. Boys and girls ice hockey and girls field hockey compete in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC), and NYA will transition boys basketball to NEPSAC competition beginning in the 2027–2028 school year.
As NYA continues to expand its boarding program and recruit students regionally, nationally, and internationally, the Athletic Director will play a key role in strengthening program visibility, enhancing the student-athlete experience, and positioning NYA athletics as a distinguishing feature of the school.
