IMS has an immediate opening for a per diem Athletic Trainer to provide game day and practice coverage during the spring athletics season. Games are typically on Wednesday and Friday afternoons, but may involve a Saturday. Practices are between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and the season ends on June 1, 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate emergency care during times of physical activity, including being present at interscholastic events
• Responsible for evaluation and emergency care of sports related injuries, concussion protocols, injury prevention and rehabilitation
• Provide respectful communication, within limits of confidentiality, on student health matters between coaches, parents and health care providers
• Maintain complete and accurate records and pertinent medical data

Experience:

• 1-3 years’ experience working as a certified athletic trainer preferred
• Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting is preferred

Education/Requirements:

• Bachelors degree
• NATA-BOC certification and CT state license from DPH
• CPR/AED Certified
