Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Required Education:

The Director of the REDI Lab is a key administrative role responsible for providing strategic vision and operational leadership for all REDI Lab initiatives. This role encompasses the entire program lifecycle, from strategic design and planning to operational execution and financial management. The Director is also a primary liaison for both internal Colorado Academy stakeholders and external partners, ensuring the Lab's programs align with the school's mission while also serving the broader education community.
1. Strategic & Programmatic Leadership
Program Design, Planning, and Execution: Lead the creation and delivery of all REDI Lab programs. This includes developing curriculum and learning experiences for students and teachers from Colorado Academy as well as the larger education community.
Curriculum Development: Continuously develop and refine new programs to stay relevant and innovative, addressing both the needs of the CA community and the broader education ecosystem.
Trend Analysis: Remain current with local and national trends and conversations in the education ecosystem. This requires active engagement, including travel for school visits, attending and presenting at conferences, and participating in forums on the future of learning.
Recruitment: lead the recruitment efforts for all CA student programming, REDI Lab Summer programming, and educator professional learning offerings.
2. Staffing & Team Management
Staffing Model: Design and implement a staffing model that supports the strategic goals of the REDI Lab and honors the investment from Colorado Academy.
Recruitment & Hiring: Lead the process of recruiting and hiring new staff members.
Team Management: Manage a staff of up to 5 individuals, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development to ensure a highly effective and motivated team.
3. Financial & Operational Management
Budgeting & Cost Management: Develop, manage, and adhere to an annual budget for the REDI Lab, ensuring financial prudence and effective resource allocation.
Revenue Generation: Identify and develop new revenue streams to support and grow the REDI Lab's programs.
Fundraising: Collaborate with the Advancement team to identify, qualify, and pursue new funding opportunities that sustain the long-term growth of the REDI Lab.
Facility Management: Oversee and manage the Coleman Center operations, ensuring the space and resources are used efficiently and effectively.
4. External & Internal Relations
Partnership Development: Proactively build and maintain new partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, and businesses to expand the REDI Lab's reach and impact.
Community Representation: Serve as a key representative of the REDI Lab at community events, conferences, and public discussions.
Fundraising & Development: Act as a primary steward for the lab’s donor portfolio, ensuring that all contributors feel deeply connected to the lab’s mission and are recognized for their ongoing investment.
Communication & Marketing: In collaboration with the Colorado Academy Communications and Advancement offices, coordinate fundraising, events, storytelling, and marketing/branding strategy. This includes managing all REDI Lab communication channels, such as websites and newsletters.
Internal Coordination: Work closely with all Colorado Academy administrative staff to ensure the REDI Lab's initiatives are aligned with and effectively serving the needs and goals set by the REDI Lab Director and the CA Head of School.
Maintain active presence in local and national education innovation networks and collaborate with all CA administrators and faculty to ensure REDI Lab serves school needs
Develop new programs responsive to emerging educational needs and opportunities.
5. Communication & Brand Management
Content Management: Manage all communication, including website content, newsletters, and social media platforms, to effectively convey the mission and achievements of the REDI Lab.
Public Profile: Build and maintain the public profile of the REDI Lab as a leader in educational innovation.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
Proven leadership and administrative experience, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting.
Strong background in program and learning design, development, and execution.
Demonstrated ability to manage finances, including budget creation and revenue generation.
Commute - sometimes daily - between CA’s main campus and the Coleman Center.
Experience in leading and managing a small team (1-5 people).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building and nurturing partnerships.
A forward-thinking mindset with a deep understanding of current and future trends in education.
Ability to travel locally and nationally for professional events.
