About the Role
A St. Stephen’s teacher is responsible for creating a well-managed, engaging classroom environment where students are known, challenged, and supported. This role requires strong grade-level content knowledge, effective instructional planning and delivery, and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate values feedback, contributes positively to a team, and is committed to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging instruction responsive to student needs.
Build a strong classroom culture that supports student growth and independence.
Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen lesson design, improve student outcomes, and contribute to a positive, connected faculty community.
Use assessment to inform instruction, provide feedback, and adjust support or extension as needed.
Differentiate and support learners to meet a range of learning needs.

Commit to professional growth by engaging in coaching, professional development, and reflective practice.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field required, advanced degree preferred
Effective written and oral communication skills
Comfort using technology for planning, teaching, assessment, and communication
Commitment to ongoing improvement, feedback, and professional learning
