Job Status: Beginning in the 2026-27 academic year, Full-time, Exempt, year-round, 12-month
Pay Range:$62,758 to $104,952 annually based on degree and experience

Job Summary:
We seek an experienced middle school educator who is passionate, collaborative, and diverse in fabrication/maker, computer science, and robotics disciplines to join our iDepartment in the Sullivan Center for Innovation and Leadership.
The position requires active participation in our vibrant learning community and an educator who will inspire and support our students. The role also requires ongoing collaboration with a diverse team and will work alongside faculty directing programs in design/fabrication, computer science/machine learning, robotics/engineering, community science/research, media production, and service learning. The ideal candidate brings a variety of means of designing, coding, making, and engineering together with a genuine love of teaching within a mission-driven independent school environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, Architecture, Computer Science or related discipline.
Minimum of three years of demonstrated teaching experience in grades 7-12.
Proficiency in CAD software such as Adobe Illustrator or Onshape.
Proficiency in a programming language such as Java, JavaScript, C, or Python.
Experience integrating microprocessors (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) into class projects.
Experience with fabrication tools including 3D printers and laser-cutters.
Experience with FIRST Robotics Programs (FLL, FTC, FRC).
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Ability to see and hear within normal parameters with or without correction.
Full range of head, neck, and back movement; unrestricted ability to bend knees, raise arms above the head, and to move hands, fingers, and wrists.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds without difficulty.
Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for sustained periods of time.
Occasional evening and weekend work required for meetings, projects, and support.
Must successfully pass fingerprinting, background checks, and TB clearance due to working in proximity to children.
