At Tessa International School, we offer three language tracks: Spanish, French, and Mandarin, and are accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) and the French Ministry of Education. We are also recognized as a NAIS model school.

We are looking for a caring Preschool Mandarin Assistant Teacher for one of our classes in the Mandarin track for the 2025-2026 School Year.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists with classroom and behavior management
• Keeps the classroom and the school clean, tidy, and presentable at all times
• Assists Lead Teacher in a range of tasks as needed
• Assists with pastoral care
• Leads outdoor play and any field trips
• Participates in meetings and trainings as needed
• May perform diaper changing, feeding and soothing of very young children depending on the class
• Assists in other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

• Excellent command of Mandarin & English
• 3 years working experience in school 
• Degree in early childhood education, child development or similar discipline preferred
• Experience with the IB PYP is preferable, but not required
• Strong communication skills, a sense of humor, humility, and empathy
• Team-player 
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Previous experience at an international school and/or cultural fluency derived from international experience is a plus

Schedule 

• 8 hours Monday to Friday
• Possibility for part-time positions and to work extra hours
